The story behind 100 Lunches
We're building a marketplace where time over a meal becomes the most valuable hour of your week - because it already was, for one person who decided to have a hundred of them.
One conversation, then a hundred
100 Lunches started as a personal challenge: our founder, Kaley Chu, decided to sit down with 100 strangers over lunch in a single year - no agenda beyond curiosity and a shared table. What began as a way to push past fear and build confidence turned into real friendships, unexpected opportunities, and a habit she couldn't put down. She wrote about the journey in 100 Lunches with Strangers, sharing practical tips and real stories for anyone - introvert, entrepreneur, student, or professional - ready to take that first step toward authentic connection.
From one challenge to a marketplace
The hardest part of Kaley's year wasn't the lunches - it was finding people willing to say yes to a stranger. 100 Lunches removes that friction. Instead of cold-messaging someone you've never met, you browse hosts who've already opted in to share a conversation and a meal, book a time that works, and show up. Same idea Kaley lived, minus the awkward ask.
